  3. Design an easy to use power cord storage mechanism to prevent the delicate material bags on top of the machine from being damaged by wrapping the power cord around the machine top after use

  4. Design a stable base that can accommodate the heavy and off balance weight of the multiple motors of the machine top.

We were challenged by our client to make improvements to an existing machine base for a key piece of equipment in the production of granulated food product.  The existing machine base was old, rusted, weak and not able to properly support the weight of the heavy off balance machine top.

Therefore this project had the following challenging requirements:

  1. All joints must have a large smooth weld radius to make it easy for the fine powdered food product to be cleaned up and washed down after manufacturing.

  2. The Hydraulic lift mechanism must be designed to operate without the use of any oil or grease as the fine powdered food product will easily bind to it and prevent free movement in production.

Objective: Make improvementes to an existing machine base

Note: Quick release safety pins secure the lift mechanism from movement during operation of machine and work towards preventing potential injury.

Note: Easy & convenient storage of power cord at back of machine

Note: Foot operated Hydrolic lift mecanism to lift top of machine base to accomidate different hight reqirements of various material buckets
